On 24 July 2013, Network Rail organised a team of 20 volunteers from the Department of Transport to undertake site clearance & cutting back vegetation at The SPACE on St Johns Road.
Through the volunteers' hard work & energy, the site has been transformed & has become a positive addition to St Leonards' streetscape.
The assortment of fly-tipped rubbish which the volunteers unearthed was removed through the support of Hastings Borough Council's waste department.
