As part of the exhibition 'Observations' a creative writing workshop took place on Friday 23 January 2015 at Sussex Coast College Hastings. It attracted 15+ participants & was led by Lille based English writer & translator Ian Monk. The workshop referenced the photographs on exhibit & created an alternative perspective on the artist's work.

Hervé Van De Meulebroeke's photographic exhibition 'Observations' opened on 10 January 2015 at aSpace Gallery, Sussex Coast College Hastings. It will continue through 27 January 2015. The exhibition features large format colour photos from the marshes of Saint-Omer (2004) & a selection of works from Northern France (2009) & South East (2014) coastal regions.
'Observations' is a cross-border collaboration between Espace 36, Saint-Omer & Tempo Arts. It is the inaugural exhibition of '+15', a year long programme of exhibitions & workshops celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of Espace 36.
On Friday 23 January 14.30-16.00 a writing workshop will take place at aSpace led by Lille based English writer Ian Monk. He will use Van De Meulebroeke;s photographs as inspiration for this free creative workshop.
'Observations' is realised with the support of l'Institut Français et Région Nord-Pas de Calais, Hastings & St Leonards Foreshore Charitable Trust, East Sussex Grassroots Flow-Through Fund through Sussex Community Foundation & Sussex Coast College Hastings.
